This is a lovely 2-tone French Ivory game. French ivory tiles are usually made of celluloid (not Bakelite). The design heralds from an attempt to mimic the design on real ivory tiles. The lines on French Ivory tiles are quite linear – unlike the lines on real ivory tiles. They were made originally with 144 tiles and are traditionally used for Chinese rule play.

This game has its original 8 flowers, 2 sets of fully sequenced bouquets numbered 1-4. The case is scuffed but does its job really well. The handle has worn over the years but is still totally usable. French Ivory games traditionally come with black wooden racks – this game has a set of 5 wooden racks with their original (and slightly worn from play) Ullman Manufacturing Co score tables still attached to the fronts of the racks. Tokens are included with the game.
